Colleen Redman: "Dear Abby, How can I get rid of freckles?" was Colleen's first published piece, written at the age of eleven. More recently, she's written and published her first book, The Jim and Dan Stories, a memoir of growing up in a family of eleven and losing two brothers within a month's time. The book is being used as required reading in a grief and loss class at Radford University and has spurred a reunion in the Massachusetts coastal town she grew up in. Colleen’s poems have appeared in a variety publications and are also featured in Muses Like Moonlight, her first collection of poetry and essays. For twenty years Colleen has been a contributor and co-editor of the Museletter, a community newsletter forum. She freelances stories to The Floyd Press, is a WVTF radio essayist, and has authored a number of political commentaries that have been published on the web and in The Roanoke Times newspaper.

Both Colleen’s books are available via her website silverandgold, where samples of her writing and photos can also be found. She blogs daily at LooseLeafNotes.com
