| Hotel Floyd is a unique and fun place to stay in downtown Floyd Virginia. It is unique for many reasons. First, it is a one-of-a-kind building using green technology to minimize impact on the environment. Second, it is a showcase of the art, furniture, music and culture of the Floyd Community. Third, it is the only hotel in the downtown area and it is within easy walking distance of all the activities in downtown Floyd. Fourth, each room is differently furnished and decorated with a theme about some important person, organization or place in Floyd. Coming to the Hotel Floyd will involve exploring the many special and delightful aspects of the Floyd community. If you are not excited about being in Floyd when you get to the hotel, you will before you leave. Because Hotel Floyd is designed to be an expression of the people, values and culture of Floyd. Hotel Floyd is within a stone's throw of The Crooked Road, Virginia's Heritage Music Trail. The 14 hotel rooms include nine standard rooms and five suites with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette and living area. All of the rooms are designed to showcase Floyd talent. Everything from what is hanging on the walls to the furniture (most of which is locally made) highlights what our county and region have to offer. Besides the local Writers Room, other themed rooms at the hotel include: The Crooked Road Room, Blue Ridge Parkway Room, Country Store Room, Jacksonville Center Room, Floyd Artist Room, Floyd Fest Room, Harvest Moon Room, Winter Sun Room, Jeanie O'Neil Room, The Malawi Room, Bell Gallery Room, Old Church Gallery Room and the Chateau Morrisette Bridal Suite. The total plan for the 2.2 acres of property is posed to eventually include a three-story structure, which would have 40 additional units, an atrium lobby, underground parking, and conference center. The two buildings that house the first 14 hotel rooms include High Definition flat screen TVs. All the rooms are equipped with wireless and computer hookups.
